Halloween
We had a wonderful Halloween experience. Ari dresses up as a "princess witch" and Devynn was a cat. First we went to the ward trunk or treat which was a success. Ari loved running around with her friend Elaine and playing in the car. When we got back home we went to three houses on the street before we called it a night. Ari didn't care so much about the candy as she did about collecting rocks and spinning in her dress. She is a funny girl. We we got home Ari tried to ride her trusty cat (Devynn) while eating candy. Devynn loved that! And Halloween could not be complete without taking a shower. That about sums up our glorious night of fun.

The Farm
Yesterday we drove out to Queen Creek to Schnepf's Farm. We had the best time! It was a little too warm for long sleeves but we still had a good time. We rode on a train, a carousel, fed animals and watched Ari ride on rides. We had to stop and look at every pumpkin. She really likes pumpkins.

Ari LOVED the goats. Nate kept trying to get her to feed the goat food but she only wanted to feed them rocks. We also saw a donkey. Ari walked up to it and said, "Where's Shrek"? She is all about the Shrek movies, in fact she sleeps with a toy shrek and donkey at night.
Ari was trying so hard to gather up as many pumpkins as she could.
Out of everything that we did and saw, Ari's favorite was gathering rocks. We could never escape it. She was always gathering baby rocks, daddy rocks, mommy rocks and Devy rocks.

Ari and Devynn have starting taking a shower together for the past week. I think that they have a party in there. They have their toys, a popcicle and good company. Whenever we checked on them were screaming, laughing, and interacting in some way. It was really fun to see. They wanted to continue the party after they got out. This picture makes me smile because I feel like this describes her personality. Nate was playing with the girls when these were taken. The girls LOVE their daddy!

Just Devynn!
Wednesday, October 17, 2007
Devynn has gotten to be so photogenic. When ever I say smile, she does. It's great, I love it!
Who does that? Ari's favorite food is avacados. She eats them as much as she can, even with the skin.
Here is a more recent picture of Ari. She turned a chair upsidedown and was pretending it was a boat. She is looking so much older to me. Lately she has been using the the word "actually". That makes her sound older, even if it dosen't make sence in the sentence.

4. I cant think of anything else
5 things on my "to do" list today...
1. Dance party with Ari and Devy
2. Shopping
3. Finish piecing a quilt top
4. Laundry Blah!
5. Blah! Clean our room
5 things I would do if I had a million dollars...
#1-5. I would move our family of four out of the room I grew up in in my parent house. That's all. I dont even care what we'd do with the rest... invest it probably. Nate wants a gun, we could get that.
5 things I will never wear again...
Never is such a strong word. I don't like to think that I am limited and that I will never be able to wear something. I agree that some thing I have grown out of or some may be inappropriate but to say never... I don't think so. I would I would like to say that I would never again wear hand my down underwear, leg warmers or a side pony tail but you just never know. Besides, I swore I would never wear white shorts or granny panties... and I have.
5 favorite toys...
1. My children (does that count?)
2. My sewing machine
3. The wii (Im terrible at it but tennis is so addicting)
4. ipod shuffle (it makes running so nice)
5. Running shoes (it makes runnung possible)

26.2
Hallelujah! We finished! Yesterday, Nate, Trevor, Dallin and I ran the St. George Marathon, all 26.2 miles. All I can say is that is was an awsome experience. And even though the recovery is a beast and we hurt a thousand times more than we thought we ever could we are already planning to run another. Thanks to the Tietjens for letting us stay at their house, we had a blast. Also, thanks mom, dad and wes for watching the girls and for assisting us in our recovery.
