This morning we took the girls to the to the playground at the school. For Christmas, Nate got a Fisher-Price Triple Hit Baseball thrower, this was a perfect opportunity to use it and show his skills. Nate is shoing Ari how to hit.

Sliding together.

A quick catch up

I am so sorry that I haven't had a new post in about a month. Just like everyone during the holidays, we too, were very busy. Here is a quick overview of the past few weeks.
Ari's birthday was the 17th of December. We bought a cake and Ari opened a couple presents. One of the happiest moments of my life happened this day.I would actually consider this the fourth happiest day of my life just under my wedding and the birth of the two girls... Ari pooped in the toilet. This means to me that there is an end in sight for changing her diapers. Who knew that I would be so happy, I just have an extreme dislike for changing diapers.
We spent Christmas and New Years at the cabin. As usual we had a wonderful time. There was plenty of snow for sledding and snow machining. We even drove to Big Sky a couple times to go snowboarding and skiing. Good times!

Ari made herself very comfortable while I drug her up the hill.

Grandma Benson got the girls little tike Coop cars for Christmas. They loved them. They just had a hard time waiting for Nate to put them together.
At the cabin there is the ugliest, scariest pig that sits by the fireplace. I don't know why it is there, no body likes it. Anyways, we finally found something that it is good for.

Every year Nate like to grow facial hair. He has grown a mustache a goatee (I dont know how to spell that), handle bar mustache and know a full beard. He pulls it of with ease.

Dad and I are playing Red Rover with Ari and her rat.
We were so happy that Grandma Benson came up to the cabin. Ari was her little shadow.

I made these frogs for the girls for Christmas. I was really excited about these because they were quick, cute and a fun way to use left over fabric.

I made this a little while ago for Ari. This was another fun project!.
Today we went to a parade in Queen Creek with the Chapmans and Grandma Benson. We had a great time. The weather and company was perfect so nice. Ari had a great time collecting candy, she even got a toothbrush

We met some people there riding horses. They were nice enough to let Ari sit on one. She was in heaven.

I decided to try something new so I dyed my hair dark brown. It's darker than I've ever had it. This is a terrible picture but I was trying to pose like Ryanne would have me pose.
We just got Ari a new snow outfit. She was so excited she wore it forever.

More Holidays

This has been a really fun week. The tree is completely up, presents are wrapped. The Christmas music has been playing and I think that I have eaten my share of sweets already for this holiday season. I love this time of year!

We finally got some rain (not as much as the Oregonians) which was needed badly. Ari loves the rain, and spent her time walking in the gutter looking for rocks.

Normally I only give the girls a shower. They do well in there as long as they have their water babies, a Popsicle and their farm animals. About a week ago my parents introduced them to baths and they have had at least one everyday for the past week. They enjoy themselves a little too much.

We made a ginger bread house. Ari probably licked every piece of candy we put on it. She was a little out of control with the eating of the candy. Now every time she walks by she says, "I made that".Here are the girls right before church in their Christmas dresses. On Sunday we watched the Christmas devotional. We went to the Mesa Temple to see the lights for family night. As usual we had a wonderful time and the lights were beautiful!

Holiday

Lately I have done a terrible job on keeping our blog up to date. A lot has been going on. For one, my mom was in a terrible biking accident. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital to find she had a broken collar bone, a few cuts and scrapes and the biggest bruise that I had ever seen. She had a hard time doing anything by herself for the first couple days. This has made me realize what it will be like when she is old and cant take care of herself. I have had to dress her and I do her hair everyday. It really isn't a problem, she does so much for us. She is slowly recovering but she is doing much better.
We had a wonderful thanksgiving break. Dashley, Ryanne and Ben came down for the holidays. Everything seems to be so much more fun when the family is all together. I cant wait till we all live close by and we don't have to wait so long to see each other.
The day after Thanksgiving we headed over to Carlsbad, New Mexico for my Grandpa Shakey's funeral. We had a wonderful time. The service was great and my dad gave us a tour of the town he grew up in. It was well worth the drive.
At the funeral.
On the way up over to Carlsbad, Devyn and are were constantly holding hands.
This is Dad(Mean Greene) on his high school football field.
His high school looks more like a comunity college. Unusual for such a small town!
After seeing the football field the guys needed to show their skills. top to bottom left to right: Trevor was having a hard time admitting that he wasn't the tallest in the family. I think that Nate might have him beat. Ashley is practicing writing her name. Ben is posing like Nate. Ashley is posing like Dallin. Ari is doing blast off. Ari is holding Dev a little too tight. Ben is obessessed with BYU football. He actually wore his BYU shirt under his church clothes at the funeral for good luck while BYU was playing. It worked! Ari and Trevor sleeping. AND Ry, Trev and Wes riding in the car.
Turkey Bowl! The guys in our family and Brad would not stop wrestling. Craziness!

Post Halloween Party

While I was at the store today I realized that Halloween costumes were on a very good sale. So I decided to get these outfits for the girls to play in. Ari thought it was the greatest thing she has ever gotten. And she wore it for about an hour. She thought it was just as great when she noticed Devy had the same outfit on. So they played and danced to Dan Zane dressed as chicks. It was a great sight to see.

For some reason Ari has felt the need to always ride Devynn. She usually yells, "Hee haw, ride it cowboy." Poor Devynn, she is such a good sport!

Green Outfits

Today the girls had a great time playing outside with Trevor and Wes. They got really dirty and they look homeless in some pictures but they had a blast. P.S. Excuse Devynn for being a little too revealing.
